Crediton Emergency Plan

Do you care about the Crediton community? Are you interested in supporting the community in emergency situations?
Why not become a member of the Crediton Community Response Team and help build a Community Emergency Plan for Crediton!

The aim of the Community Emergency Plan is to provide Crediton with an outline to support itself when other agencies are overstretched and to increase the resilience of the Town. In order to devise an Emergency Plan we need input from the community, local knowledge and resources.

The Town Council recently held an introductory meeting relating to the creation of its emergency plan. At this meeting, it was agreed that, in order to make Crediton a more resilient community, the first step involves engaging with the community and getting them involved. A copy of the notes from the first meeting are available below.

Following this, another meeting was held on Wednesday, 25th January 2017 with representatives of local groups and organisations in Crediton. The aim of this meeting was to discuss whether these organisations would be interested in working with the Crediton Emergency Plan Group, to consider ways in which the community can become more active and work collaboratively. This meeting also provided an opportunity to raise any issues that their members may face in the event of an emergency.
